  1. Hi, Does anybody knows about therapy by leeches (hirudo therapy) available in Toronto? Does anybody
knows creams, ointments etc. containing the biologically active substance from leeches available in
Canada. Such creams are believed to be very effective for "spider" vein treatment. I found out that
in Europe it is well known and practiced approach for many health issues, but so far no luck for
    information in Canada/Toronto Lena

Live leeches are used by surgeons to help healing of certain wounds, such as re-attached ears
    and fingers.

The leech ingretdient, hirudin, is an anti-coagulant.

I was unable to fine a reference to it being udsed for spidre veins. An anticoagulant would be
unlikely to help them, even if it could pass through the skin.

Do not pay any attention to "no way", as he/she is totally uninformed about health and treatments.
You may have to go to Europe for treatment though. Best luck, mdd
