fine. ill watch those movies. ever seen polanski's "the ninth gate?" polanski is both a weirdo and a damn good film director.

No, I havn't yet although I know, from reading, about him that he is gifted. I will have to look into watching a film or two of his. Thanks.

  2. this is 100% irrelevant.

I wonder if the Christian 123 forum/cult has a leader. its just scary how many people on that website fit the dictionary definition of insane: unable to accurately percieve the world and comprehend reality. It scares me how many people have rearranged their mind to the point where they understand laws of physics but still, somehow, believe that a man was nailed to a cross, and then walked the earth for forty days. It makes me wonder if we are all insane, or if it's better to be insane anyway.

    scared,
    Jojo

Hippies are such a pain in the ass. Everything about them bothers me - like the smell of their marijuana that follows them wherever they go, their anti war tshirts that they probably dont understand, their cave-man beards, their dirt-encrusted arms, their frayed jeans, etc, etc, etc. Calm me down because a hippie rides by on a rusted cruiser every 15 minutes, and my authentic sioux bow & arrows are just itching to get caught in the spokes of those hippies' bikes. And when they bleed, they have so much of various substances in their bloodstream that even their BLOOD is likely tie-dyed! id just love to see a hippie hit his face on the pavement, and lose his three remaining teeth. man, that would be sweet.

    (heavy breathing)

Geezus...I left this board 1 year ago and can see that the same incredibly stupid wastes of flesh still find themselves compelling and even literate. Time to go riding folks and leave the time wasting ignorant rants to ya'll morons.

[font=Verdana]I am fellow 'hippy', if that's the word you want to use. My colleagues at schools jokingly call me "the hippy". I plan on dedicating my career to preserving the environment. You know what David, you’re really cool. It has been a privilege to interact with you on the forum. Speaking of the doors……It really pisses me off that people depict Van Morrison as a shallow druggie. He was a very deep, philosophical person. I have a lot of respect for him. Did any body know that Bill O’rielly’s favorite band is the doors? He revealed this in an interview, does anyone see the irony in this😄 He is so full of [censored]……..[censored]! I am also pro-pot. It is not a narcoit, nor has it ever killed anyone. It is a mild sphycodelic mind opener. Pot is cool, I don't care what anybody says. If anything we should make hard liquor illegal.................[/font]

I wasn't sure. I thought maybe he sang Brown Eyed Girl with them before Jim, or was it after Jim died. I don't know. Its all hazy now.

Strange thing this Hippy game. All my brothers mates were Hippies, and I don't remember any of them having a job, consequently they were on the scrounge all their lives. As for saving the environment, never heard them mention it. Maybe we had real Hippies, and yours were just doing tokenism. I did hear them moan about big cars, but by Christ if you offered them a lift they were in the car before you could say 'knife'. BTW you can smoke on the streets here and you won't get locked up.

I am also saving the environment. I am using zip lock bags. The big ones seemto work very well.
As far as making alcohol illegal,we have been down that road and it didn't work except for funding gang syndication.
    Big Al loved it.

  17. Hippies? There are no more hippies. Ok, that's not true; I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, where many of the hippies of yester-year decided to remain, and I suppose they're still around, but they're doing other things: "hippy" is a dated lifestyle term, like "flapper."

We've over-generalized the term beyond recognition if anyone with liberal politics and a taste for certain botanicals qualifies. Being a hippy meant lefty politics and an interest in certain narcotics, yes, but also a very time-specific sense of clothing, hair, "unorthodox" personal hygiene, music, a fetish for flowers, VW buses, casual nudity, unemployment, tent camps, and having sex in the name of ending the Vietnam War.

This is an extremely aging population and an endangered species, frankly (lots of the poor [censored] are bums). "Liberal culture" today isn't possesing of a unified identity. Hippy culture fragmented into a million pieces--us modern lefties have been walking around picking up the chunks, wandering around wondering how they got it so right and so wrong at the same time. We're lots of different things, but for 99% of us, "hippy" isn't one of them.

Is that the bloke who's buried in Paris in a grafitti covered grave. What's he doing there? Apart from the obvious.

He moved to Paris long ago to escape Van Morrison.

Not much ...not much at all but as a government empolyee he would still be getting grand reviews.
