Quoted message said:After a 50 mile ride yesterday I would hate to guess the temperature
inside my shorts. My female stoker had a similar heat problem.
Can you buy ventilated shorts or do you just pour water in the top?
Enquiring minds need to know.
We had some racing on Sunday, on skates though. It was really hot at
Eastway. I wimped out and did the half marathon since I've not done any
training for months, and that was in the morning. I hate to think how hot
the full marathon must have been since it started at 14.00.
Many of us were wearing skinsuits, and pouring plenty of water over
ourselves, by the end of the race my skates were squelching. I can't think
of anything I could have worn that would have been better at cooling me. A
wet thin lycra skinsuit in the breeze felt icy cold, enough that I wore it
for most of the day after the race. Thank goodness there's no nappy in the
skinsuit.
