I have the campy hidden headset... less than 1000miles ..got play in the bottom bearing/cup... Since I don't know anything about the hidden headset, I took it to the shop.. the replaced the lower bearing but that didn't solve it.. required a lower cup replacement as well. It is fine now.
what would cause this so early in the game?
where can I see an exploded view of a hidden headset. I would like to learn more about them. I have cannondale mountain bikes and they all have cups/bearings pressed into the head tube .. do the road bike hidden headsets look the same only smaller in diameter?
