  1. Hi!

Not purely walki8ng related but here goes...

Having walked the Cleveland Way over Easter for my own pleasure I am looking
into doing the Pennine Way in a few months (over my summer hols from uni).
It struck me that while I was doing the walk for myslef I could do it as a
fundraiser for my local church. Question is - has anyone done something that
they have decided to do as a sponsored event (off their own back) to raise
money some cause or other? If so how did you go about sorting out
    sponsorship etc for the event?

    Cheers

FACT: Over 98 percent of rivers have NO ACCESS for the public. Access along
rivers is a canoeist's lifeblood. Canoes leave no trace of passing, no noise
or pollution and have little or no lasting impact on wildlife and the water
environment. All rivers and waterways should be open to the public in the
same way in which we are free to use footpaths and highways as public rights
    of way. - http://www.riversaccess.org

Well, it's like seeking any other sort of sponsorship. You need to nag
people to sponsor you. You can also get a page on
    http://www.justgiving.com/.

    Good luck 🙂
