  1. I had a surgery for a hernia about 10 months ago for a
    right side inguinal hernia. It was an open procedure
    using the mesh.

    Anyway, aboout 6 weeks ago. About 2-3 days after I was
    lifting weights, I started having pain in the inguinal
    region on the right side. I went to see my surgeon about it
    and he told me it wasn't serious. About 2 weeks after that,
    I noticed a pea-sized bulge with a slight cough impulse that
    reduced when I layed down. I went back to the surgeon and he
    said it was a small hernia and he wanted to fix it using the
    laproscope hernia repair procedure. I decide to get the
    thing fixed at a hernia center instead. However, when the
    surgeon at the hernia center looked at it, he said it was a
    swollen vein and it wasn't medically sound to operate.

    It's been three weeks sinceI went the the hernia specialty
    center and the pea-sized bump is still there. Any
    suggestions? Should I just stop worrying about the bump and
    ignore the slight discomfort is causes?

    Thanks
