  1. Off I trot, pedal spanner in hand, the GVBR and all its wonder awaits . . .

I have been seeing purple and orange bikes in my sleep recently:

"No, NO, NOOOAAAHHHHHH!!!!" as an avalanche of said conveyances rumbles off the back of a semi- and buries me . . .

I just popped on the net to check the weather, and tangentially, to ask for your supplications to whatever deity or higher consciousness you choose, to include me and the rest of the mechanics for the next 9 days . . .

Hope CM 9 didn't turn into the bloodbath Neil Mitchell wanted it to be . . .

Oh didn't you hear? The city was under siege _and_ held to ransom and
apparently thousands of people were maimed, killed and raped as a result
    of CM.

And another tragic result was that I can't get my tongue out of my cheek
    now.

Amazing in such a affluent and well educated society as Australia we can be so fearful.
