Help with new bike.

Well I like mine though if you google for earlier threads you'll see I found the top tube overly
long on the smallest frame size, for me. Other than that very nice bike, though me being a
scaredycat it's only had a couple of hundred miles on it thus far. Changed the bars and stem for
narrower and taller/shorter reach, and saddle for a girly skinny one. First ever outing on it (and a
bike of any sort for best part of 15 years) saw me achieve 28 miles around cambridge - this before I
made any changes to it whatsoever - though amid a fair bit of whining and a very sore bum. Longest
other ride post-changes was about 34 miles and much more comfortable. Mine's the 531C framed version
of the audax.

I think there are two questions you could ask that might garner more reponse:

1. What bikes do regular Audax riders ride?

2. What bikes do people recommend that are reliable, reasonably lightweight, will take mudguards and
come with triple chainrings?

If you're serious about Audax you'll be spending a lot of time in the saddle so comfort must be at
the top of your list. A proper bike fitting and set up is IMHO essential. Find a shop with a
fitting jig.
