Hello. I hope someone here can help me. I'm trying to gather
together evidence etc for a forthcoming inquest on the death
of a family member. I have been told we are allowed to ask
questions, so I'm trying to research and understand the
whole process.
Can anyone point me in the direction of any
articles/textbook extracts etc on the process of death? I
need to know what happens as the body shuts down/goes into
shock/dies. I'm specifically trying to find out about why
someone, who had had trouble breathing (lasting approx 3mins
- and NOT the usual death rattles) would then have a
regurgitation and stop breathing? The regurgitation was not
vomit (but was not examined at post mortem). I'm not a
medic, but it's information I need some help to find.
I'm not looking for any answers as to why he died here. I
just need to find some info on what happens during the
process of death. (timeline from 6-7hours before death, to
just after - I've managed to find the rigor mortis stuff)
