Hey I was wondering if anyone could help here,
Today I was cycling on a main road in cork county. I cycled past a few people. Two I know, and am not the greatest friends with, and one I don't. The one I don't know had a clump of grass in his hand. As a went past he threw the clump of grass at me. It hit my face causing me to swerve into the road.
I was wondering if there were any laws in ireland against throwing objects or obstructing a cyclist while he is cycling.

I would call that action an assault, in any country. I would talk to your local constabulary to find out if they're willing to follow up on that. Sure sounds dangerous to me, what that fellow did.
I agree with the above poster...but what did you do to either one of those guys to illicit a response like that? Are you on a expensive bike wearing expensive racing clothes just to show off and pissing some poor guy with the snooty attitude? Did you say something to them that made them think you think your superior to them? There's all sort of things that can cause this reaction, and I don't think you didn't do nothing at all, just an innocent rider whistling along on a otherwise joyful jaunt. Throwing a clump of grass was meant to degrade you, to knock you down a peg or two, thus my reasoning for the attack.
