  1. POLAR 720iS

    Had my watch about a month but only put the speed sensor on a few weeks ago. It was running fine except the speed was a bit slow. So I reset the wheel diameter (after measuring) and now the speedo has stopped working.

    THe red ligh flashes when I start riding and all the other functions are working...

    I'm sure I can figure it out given time but I have a race at 8 am tomorrow morning...

    If any of you know a quick fix please....

    otherwise don't worry I will have figured it out at least by next week.....

    I'M going down to have a play with it now.... hopefully I'll get it going....

    The last race I went in I bumped my CATEYE sensor just b4 the race and it didn't give me any speed readings at all.....

  2. OPTIONS----> BIKE SET----> Power------OFF

    A real weird setting if you ask me.

    I must have set everything to ON a few days before the race and then the Speedo wouldn't work.

    Funny how turning a setting to OFF makes the speed ON!!!

    Had to ride my race with my CATEYE speedo....

    Finished 11th and just 4 seconds off a win.

    Wish I had my speed recorded to ponder over on my PC...

    Next time....

  3. The reason why your watch stopped giving you speed readings is because if you have the power option for your polar watch the speed sensor that it uses is a "wired" sensor not the "wireless" sensor that you are using now. Thus, if you have the watch set to "power on" it will look for the wired speed sensor and not the wireless one you are now using.
