You are talking about cutting up a frame in half and connecting them with couplings? I have a trike
like that, but I wouldn't break it down just to move it in and out of a building. The two halves of
the bike are connected by the chain, shifter cable and brake cable. Even if you use couplings on all
these, it's a 10-minute job to split and re-assemble the bike. (Maybe 5 min with practice?)

Couplings are extremely useful for an occasional travel by air, car or train, or shipping by UPS,
USPS, etc. It's not a very good solution for everyday storage and transport. Ken Kobayashi
