help on buying a bike

Hey samtheman! No bike can really handle downhill, xc, and dirt jumping. Your best bet an all mountain bike. Look at a iron horse maverick 4.0. A specailized P.all mountain would be good too

Hey, if your after a good steady bike, which is good on road/downhill/uphill/ and loves rough terrain, personally, i recomend the Specialized Hardrock serieis.

but, a 2007 serieis with hyd breaks can be found

which is the one i have, and i've found it to be a very solid, well built bike. only problem i could say, is on road, it has 2.1 inch wide tyres, with very good grip, so on road you struggle to get past 35mph downhill, and average 20mph on flat road ide say.
