I just bought a new bike with clipless pedals, and I also bought a pair of shoes. How do I put the two together? Don't I need to screw something into something else? Because there wasn't any extra pieces in the shoebox. This is my first fancy bike, and I have no idea what I'm doing...I just want to ride it

You should have gotten cleats for the clipless pedals with your bike. These get screwed into your shoes.
