  1. help needed with Flight Deck - whilst CURRENT speed and CLOCK and even the ODOMETER work, the other functions; TRIP DISTANCE, TRIP TIME, STOP WATCH etc all refuse to work.

I don't think it can be the fork sensor, since this sensor provides CURRENT speed, which is working!

    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Chris.

  2. I have the same system. Kind of confussing at first. Are you using shimano group. If so you should have the two buttons on the inner side of the hoods. Switch from your main screen to trip distance. Push the left hood button and mph should begin to flash. This will start the memory for your ride. I always wait until I am rolling down the driveway before doing this. Let me know. I have found it confussing at first to switch to the other side of the computer (i.e. cadence, etc.). I brush up on the manuel every once and a while and it comes back. Are you using wireless?

  3. Hit the mode button on your right until the TIM screen appears, then hit the button on your left (St/sp) once and you activated the trip distance.

The other quirk is the sleep mode, an old manual says to push the mode or st/sp button to activate, not true...with the computer in the bracket, feel underneath near the front and two spongy rubber nodes either one (A or B) will light it up.

    Shimano.com has a current PDF.

A chuckle from the manual. "WARNING-be careful not to pay excessive attention to the computer data while riding, otherwise you might have an accident." Duh

  4. Many thanks - I had not used my Flight Deck for a long time, and forgot about the flashing MPH (in this contry, KM) symbol. So I took the bike for a spin around the block last night, and it worked perfectly. THANKS!

  5. Thanks - with your info and that from another forum user, I got sorted out really quickly. Your tips on how to activate the Flight Deck from underneath worked too, so I'll be using that menthod from now on! And I had a good chuckle about the warning - Shimano probably trying to indemnify themselves?!
