Using Shimano 105 WH-R540 rims/wheels and ordered Vredestein Fortezza Tricomp Folding Tyres on the box it says Mount on crotchet types rims only are the R540s ok to mount on, sorry new to this anddon't get it.

It's a translation error. Vredestein means "hook type rims," meaning clincher rims.
