I'm looking at buying a road bike for commuting to work and out to training as well ... Both would be roughly 40 minutes cycles so the longest i'll be on the bike is for an hour .. MAX ... I'm 6ft 1 or something and roughly 74kg ... Basically i'm just looking for advice on what (much) more experienced riders would recommend for a virtual newbie... A friend of mine recommended the Giant Rapid , as did a guy (not just some randomer, a shop keeper or whatever you wanna call him ...) in a bike shop close to me ... I wouldn't be a great cyclist and wouldn't be very informed so any advice will be more than helpful.
