Help me establish a price...

I'm looking for a cheap time trial bike, because it will hang in the garage most of the year. I have a friend selling a Kestrel 500 sci in reassonable shape with a DA 8-speed kit plus a pair of Zipp 440 wheels. I don't know what a reasonable price would be. Any ideas? It is old and 650c. Thanks! M
