DAD David Jones died after begging hospital doctors for NINE DAYS to find the cause of agonising pains in his chest, back and stomach, an inquest heard yesterday. Medics conducted a string of tests but missed an aneurism in his heart from a burst blood vessel. Engineer David, 44, died at Leicester General Hospital the day after threatening to stage a protest at the nurses' desk on his ward.
Consultant Dr Michael Bell, who investigated the death, said the proper diagnosis could have been made on the first day.
