Attempting to identify a Campy 8/9 spd chainring which came on used crankset.
Large ring is 53t, and is most definitely a Record ring. Can tell by placement of roll-off pin,
which is directly adjacent to a bolt hole. Three engravings, "53-AS" with the usual "Brev
Campagnolo" and "Made in Italy".
Small ring is 42t, this is the one in question. Four engravings, "42", with the usual "Brev
Campagnolo" and "Made in Italy", plus a small diamond (with "C" inside) that is not present on the
large ring.
Can line up the chainrings in such a way that both the bolt holes and the engravings are aligned:
i.e., "53 AS" is adjacent to "42", while "Brev Campagnolo" is adjacent to "Brev Campagnolo", etc.
Given this info, is there any way to determine if the smaller ring belongs to the Record, Chorus,
etc., family?
Thanks in advance, Mike Lackey
