  1. First off I am looking for a chainwheel that i remember seeing in Dans Comp catalog, I dont remember the name of it or who made it but i have never seen anything else like it. I am going to try and describe it to the best of my knowledge to see if i can maybe get a company or product name.

From what i remember it had like 4-5 real thin bars coming out hugging the crank. From a side view of the bike all you would see was the real thin bars, one of the bars wrapped around the crank and it seemed to only fit a smooth style crank with out the bolt that pinches it on to the spindle, kind of like the Profile 3 piece cranks. I remember this because i used to have an XS 3 piece and i traded it for a profile so i could use this chainwheel. From a rear view you could see all of the bars coming out to the width of the crank, they probably came out about 1.5 inches
This is probably the thickest chainwheel that i have ever seen. If anyone has an old Dans Comp catalog, like 2 years old i know it is in there!

any help would be greatly appreciated
    TIA,
    Larry

  2. Did you look at Danscomp.com and try to see if they still got. Also call em up...very good people. It maybe a DK Iron Cross or a Profile Hurricane chainring. I dont think you can really run it.
