1. Hopefully someone can help me out, I dropped my CPU on the weekend and damaged the crystals on the screen, I called Saris and they said the only option is to buy a new one.

I've searched but have not been able to find one for sale, I need a SL CPU.

Anyone that can point me in a direction, I live in Canada (Toronto), I don't even care about cost, I just need one ASAP

You can respond or e-mail me:

    Thanks.

Can you still upload the data after you get home?

FWIW. For the time being, presuming that you can indeed upload after you get home, I'd get almost any regular cycling computer (e.g., Flight Deck with a Universal MTB mount which can be made to fit on your road bars ... you won't have cadence & all the info you're used to having) so that you aren't flying completely blind when you are on the road.

BTW. I can't believe they won't sell a replacement to you:

    saris.comt cycleopsSupport.aspx

If nothing else, they should be able to tell you the name of a retailer who can order one for you FROM THEM.

    Good luck!

Yes the cpu is still fully functioning (I raced with it on Sunday) the only problem is the crystals on the screen are damaged so it's virtually unreadable.

I have called around locally and have not gotten any answers.

  4. I've ordered a new CPU direct from Saris, I didn't realize that I could do this, (it wasn't mentioned when I called yesterday)

    Thanks for you're input.

At least I'll have a back-up CPU (with a unreadable screen) for emergencies.
