  1. Hi.
New here so hope all is well, im after some advice on setting up my gears properly. i have a GT Avalanche 3.0 Disc MTB and my problem is that, when i try shift through the gears, well the gears wont ride on the big cog on the front and then wont drop down to the bottome, it just likes to sit in the middle cog ( No clinking noise when its here) if i select No1 tghen it wont drop down to 1 but if i put it in 1 manually then selct 2 it will ride to middle cog but if i select 3 it wont ride on top cog.
    Pulling my hair out here
    thanks for looking in

Check your shift cable tension first. That would be my first guess. If it is a problem beyond that such as a bent component I would suggest taking it to a shop.
There again maybe has some better suggestions.
