Can anyone tell me the difference in helmet safety? I see wide difference in prices, does this translate into better safety?

I see wide difference in prices, does this translate into better safety? No. No helmet manufacturer publishes the detailed results of its Snell Foundation or CPSC testing. Its just pass/fail, and no, I don't know which helmets fail because they never make it to market.
Helmet marketing is mainly about weight, fit, ventilation, and style, not in any particular order.

When you pay more for a helmet you're not buying safety, you're just throwing away money on a more complex gimmicky head-sizing mechanism.

Thanks for the info.
