Remember Bomba's photo? Well I made one of my own the other day. This is after doing a short ride with huge vertical here in Snowbird. It was steep and hard and I suffered (it was nice). Just thought I'd share, although it looked "better" in person.

Matt (looking forward to being home again this weekend)
I miss A Flock of Seagulls.
Please don't miss them. The lead guy was recently on a competition of has-been bands. To see what has happened to these people was really depressing. The guy spent the better part of the past 15 years doing nothing but gaining weight. He's now about 230 pounds and the hair that made him famous is gone. All that's left is a ponytail. His singing was rather scary too. The same show also featured such "notables" as Tiffany, Tommy Tu-Tone, and Howard Jones. Also train wrecks by today's standards. Time has not been good to the 80's one-hit-wonders.
BTW, AFOS has been performing at small venues (IOW coffee shops) the past few years. I saw them in a little place in Neptune, NJ about seven years ago. You can catch them regularly down in Florida (where they live now).

Ha! I used to try and replicate the Seagulls hairstyle back in the day. As you can see it kind of just happens with my hair sometimes.
I saw that has-been show too. Funny. I used to really like Howard Jones too. I even recently re-purchased Dream into Action on CD to replace my original cassette.
