Must say that those broadcasts on the "Wide World of Sports"
program in the 1980s is what got me into cycling also. They
were done by CBS programming and music was done by John Tesh
which he released two CDs of his music (they were not
original though).
Those tour productions were great also - Hinault v Lemond in
86 was the one that got me into it and thanks to my late
father who taped it (on Beta) and I have watched them many a
time over the years. I was only 6 at the time and still
continue to be in love with the sport (road), whatever
controversy comes up.
