Ive been riding since i was a kid, and very possibly know some of you in real life.
I havent been able to ride in a year due to financial/technical issues and im so depressed, it isnt funny. Well.. not down and out, just out.. lol
I can't belive i never looked for a cycling forum before.

I have ridden almost every where in Canada, except east of quebec.
I generally prefer XC (did you guess?) and that (as im sure THIS board will recognise) is the base for my name, not dope.
I've toyed with DH and freestyle, but i could never afford a DH, and freestyle doesnt get me anywhere. I love speed. Actually, to be precise; i love speed on a custom XC rig. so far, ive clocked 99.9 KPH (downhill, loaded with camping gear) on my cateyeII (hooked on a Norco Bushwhacker!!! :O ) a couple years ago, while everything was 'good'.
I have a sweet Trek 8000 '99-8, all bonded - no welding at all! 20' for the velocity and i was running an indy untill i put this judy (my reason i cant ride) on. The indy is on my GF's (who wont and dont ride) bike, that i built from scratch. Sweet little... giant i think, curved rear triangle, more or less WSD...
I really hope this place is a tight community, unlike alot of places on the net. I'd hate to go the next 25 years riding alone, as ive had it with the last.
I usually cant make 'bike' friends for a few reasons. I smoke, so they discredit me immediatly. Im fast, so i blow by people 24/7 and never really meet anyone. When people do manage to get me, it is almost ALWAYS an old guy on a roadie. You know the ones with pace down pat, and leg that have been spinning since the 60's.. ... lol
So basically, the only 'bike' friends ive ever had were the messengers, but thats another story. Basically if i ride, it has to be alone. I [censored] hate it. (i've been drinking tonight btw, sorry for any typos and the rant.. :p )
I guess thats enough. Im going to go browse the site now.
