Yeah, from a seller with no real pictures of the item and a zero rating.

He's been selling since yesterday. And has 2842 items available. 2842
    non-existant items.

Also, you have to email first because he "may not be able to complete the
sale" which is a recently common trick. The seller gets you to bid, emails
you and says "I can sell it right now for $x." Buyer goes for it, sends a
check, whoosh. No deal ever happens, Ebay can't/won't protect it, and buyer
    gets no bike.

Should we do a "pre-emptive strike" report of an Ebay report, to try and
save all the people that're gonna get screwed on his Ellsworths, Demo9s,
    VAIO laptops and 20" rims?

I went ahead and reported him based on scam potential...

"Seller has been active for 24 hours and has listed over 2800 items. All
items are very popular high-dollar items, none have pictures of actual items
for sale. Seller solicits emails before buying - which points to the common
"I can sell it to you right now for cheap" scam. All signs point to a scam
waiting to happen - and since he's "selling" a lot of mountain bike stuff, I
    take it personal 🙂."
