I've read a couple post about a quick reductions in Hr post intervals is a good indication of cardiovascular fitness. Is there a general rule of thumb, say X% per 30 sec?

Under a recent health test I went from 176 bpm at 398w and then after 3 minutes of pedalling easy at 100w it was 98 bpm.
I was told that was excellent recovery.
I can't be ars*ed to do the maths to get % per 30 seconds.
a mate of mine went on a 20 minute run and 2 hours later his Hr was still 140. I assume that isn't good.

No that's not good. a friend of mine on 2 occasions had a hrt of 165 just sitting at the table. both times the medics were called. they said dehydration after testing him. i find that very hard to believe though. :eek:
