  1. Hey All -

I recently started training on my road bike and invested in a heart rate monitor. I kept an eye and recorded the values for my last ride - a 35 miles in mild terrain, 2 hours 15 minutes. My average heart rate on the ride was 179 and my max was 207. Can anyone tell me a little bit about what I should be looking for with heart rates and how mine stack up against others?

  2. Do a search on this forum.

Basically your HR numbers are unique to you/weather/what you drank before you left/what you have eaten/how much sleep you got last night...

A comparison will not really prove usefull except to say that 207 max. is pretty high. That said I get to 210, its not a problem if you are healthy.
