Hello I am a 49 year old cyclist from Australia last year I had a stent put in after a heart attack.
Getting back to training has been very slow .
I am to concerned about raising the heart rate to much.
Has any one had a similar thing happen to them . Any advice please.

My doc told me he wanted me to walk at 3 mph for an hour every day. I did that but got bored. I hopped on a bike and did not look back. I'm 53 now and I rode 6 100 mile rides last year and one was under 5 hours. I'm planning to do about twice that number this year. Get you doc to give you a stress test to see where you are. Then start slow and build your fitness slowly. Use a HRM it helps to make sure you don't over do it.
I need to drop some lbs but I'm working on it. Good luck.
