  1. Last July during a physical some problems were discovered which led to
a heart cat and discovery of a 100% blockage of my right coronary
artery. Seven days later an attempt was made to open the blockage and
place stent using Frontrunner. Attempt was unsuccessful as blockage
was too hard and blockage could not be opened. Normally a lot of
Doctors will then just say live with it however my Doctor felt a
second try might be worth trying. Last Wednesday a second try was
made and was 100% successful with blockage opened and two medicated
stents placed. So it pays to try try again.

Doctor had to go through both femoral arterys , one leg to inject dye,
the other to place Frontrunner. Really was'nt painful though and I got
through entire procedure without any type sedation of pain relief,
was'nt needed. In fact it was sorta neat being wide awake I was able
to view the monitors and converse with the Doctor throughout the
procedure, made time go a lot faster. Doctor even made a copy of the
CD of my procedure for me, now that's really neat.

Really only one bad part. They used the new plastic plugs to close
both legs and they failed.. Had to lay with c clamps and sandbags on
both legs for 7 hours, now that's painful……

  2. Sounds pretty creative. Can you tell us what hospital you were at?
