  1. Lately, I've been concerned about the amount of fat & protein in my diet. I had my cholesterol
checked at my neighborhood drug store, & it's almost borderline.

In the off-season (triathlon) I usually eat about 4,000 calories/day. Right now, I'm eating about
5,500/day, and I expect my consumption to peak at 6,500/day throughout the spring, summer, & early
fall. I eat about 60% of my calories from carbs, 15% protein, & 25% fat. I try to eat lots of
complex carbs, and I'm careful about saturated fat, cholesteral, & trans-fats. But based on a 6,000
    cal/day diet, that's still 900cal (225grams) of protein & 1,500cal (165grams) of fat.

That's a lot fat & protein. Besides the cholesterol issue, is there an absolute limit to the number
of grams of fat & protein one should eat regardless of total caloric intake? It's not easy meet my
caloric needs without the fat. I guess I could drink more 🙂.

For what it's worth, I'm male, 5'10", and I weigh in the low 160's.

    Thanks.
