  1. I have recently bought a new Dawes Audax, very nice bike, but now I've ridden it a bit I think I'd like the bars a bit higher. I am 5'10", 33" inside leg and I've bought the largest frame I can stand over, i.e. the 58cm (which actually measures more like 56, from centreline to centreline). Now I've got the saddle at the right height, the bars are considerably lower, I'd like them almost level with the saddle if possible. Trouble is, I already changed the stem for one with a steeper angle when I bought it. Would it be easy to change to a traditional quill-type stem? Has anybody any suggestions?
