When I was in Japan last month, I hung out with someone who rides a bicycle almost everywhere. She has a comfort bike (all Shimano of course) and it has 2 cool built-in keylocks. One is on the headset and locks the shaft so the front wheel cannot be turned. I would like to know what that type of lock is called, and if its possible to retrofit these types of locks on a frame. I didn't actually see the second lock - she just referred to it when I commented on the headset lock (we were crossing the street at the time). I would think that built-in locking schemes would be effective.
