  1. Can anyone relate any experience helpful for using a handlebar-lamp
that doubles for a headlamp for use on your cranium? ๐Ÿ™‚) I have been
camping this summer and think the headband lamps are uber-chic. Is any
brand sold that has a good clamp for both uses? The bike-light I
looked at today in our local hub-shop just has a band-clamp that I
can't see how would be an easy switch for headlamps. Thanks for
    reading.

Could the band stretch around your helmet? I've used a helmet mounted
lamp. Though I understand your desire for a bar mount. It's very
disconcerting how much a handlamp spot will move back and forth as you
ride, especially since you're focussing on longer distances ahead of you
then you would be for camping. You never realize how much your head
    moves until then.

I use a standard headlamp on the bike plus a Petzl headtorch. It's
useful while riding and in those night-time puncture repairs. And
    when camping.
