  1. Scientists sniff out revolutionary hay fever cure

    Scientists have created a hay fever drug that they say
    offers immediate and extensive relief from itchy eyes and
    runny noses. The treatment, called R112, is expected to
    revolutionise treatment of the condition and provide relief
    for millions of Britons .

    "This drug is truly novel, not just because it works so
    quickly, but because it works at the root of the problem,"
    said Prof Harold Nelson, an authority on allergic disease.

    "Present anti-histamine treatments work on one of the
    chemicals that cause symptoms. This drug stops the
    production of all them within 15 seconds

    <snip>

    You forgot the main bit of the Telegraph's article :

    "The drug, which is likely to be available within five
    years, has been created by scientists working for Rigel
    Pharmaceuticals, a Californian company etc etc..."

    No indication that it'll be available in UK. It's back to
    Zirtec, Ventolin and others for the foreseeable future.
