Despite what your friend says, Lance doesn't pick who goes in a break. The
most he (and his team) will do is keep a specific break from going. Why
would Lance have any interest in chasing down Pereiro, even if Floyd
wereen't ot lose a place? Better for Lance if someone like Pereiro is in an
escape. Means another team in the top ten will have to ride on front to keep
Pereiro from moving up too much (as we saw with Iles Baleares for Mancebo
and Lotto for Evans). Gerolsteiner has an interest in reeling in Pereiro
too. Phonak won't do it, cause even if Landis gets bumped down a notch, it's
their own guy who moves up. And TMO won't do anything for Vino. Credit
Agricole doesn't seem to care about Moreau's 10th either.

Even should Pereiro pass Landis in the GC after today, look for Floyd to
take it back tomorrow in in the TT.
