He's still getting victories, but does anyone else feel as if the margin has narrowed? I think he's trading on opportunity rather than the huge talent he's relied on till now.

Hmmm, numerous of them in a dead pan flat desert where the other teams couldn't be bothered fielding anyone decent.And then there are the races where his lead out man would have had time to fix a puncture as he tried to pull past, and Flanders where he just blew out entirely.

Relax. So he did not blow the competition away in the RVV this year. Let us discuss Boonen's form at the end of the spring classics season. It is testament to his abilities and palmares that some now doubt him because he did not win the RVV again...
He remains an awesome rider and, along with Bettini and a few others, a man that must always be taken into consideration in any one day race.
