Im a downhill/cross-country rider. I broke 4 bikes in 2 weeks and im finally looking to upgrade to a serious mountain bike. i was wondering what u guys and girls think about the ahro extreme x1. im considering this bike because for the price you cant really get a better value. if i do get it i will upgrade the fork to like a dj III or something like that. so disregard the front fork. so all i really want to know is your opinion of the bike and if there is anything else in the price range. The X1 seems like a pretty neat bike for the price.... seems like the same frame as the X3, except without the adjustable rear travel, and lesser components. If your gonna get a decent fork on there anyway, it seems like a nice bike to me. The comments i've heard on it have all been pretty positive so far too :p
If you need better you can always upgrade down the track anyway. Haro bikes seem to be pretty good value for money.
Oh yeah - Haro has released their 2004 models (not on their site) so make sure you get a new '04 X1.... or otherwise, if you get an '03 - make sure you whittle the price down a bit so you get a good deal.
