Hard shifting sti levers

  1. My ultegra sti shifters on both the front and rear derailleur have become hard to shift. I tried lubing the pivot points on both derailleur's and the shifters themselves. Initially I thought this helped but not really. Maybe I am overlooking something? Also when I shift from the large to small ring I notice there is a bit of lag in the derailleur, which is what prompted me to lube the pivot points.

    Nevermind I figured it out. I looked at the cables where they pass through the guides under the bb. It was very gunked up in that area. After I cleaned it the hard shifting and lag stopped.
