After claiming a gold medal in Fridayandrsquo;s points race, Sarah Hammer continued her streak of success with a record-breaking performance in the womenandrsquo;s three-kilometer individual pursuit Saturday. In the qualifying round, Hammer lowered her own national record to 3:32.058 seconds and then took care of business in the final with a head-to-head win over Verena Joos of Germany to successfully defend her L.A. World Cup crown in the pursuit from a year ago.
