Don't know if anyone here ran yesterday, but having done my first Olympic distance this year I really want ot give a 1/2 IM a go next year and the UK one is the obvious choice for me. I remember reading that the UK one sold out within 2-3 days of the applications becoming availabe and I don't want to miss out. Generally speaking how soon after the event can you book for next year's event?
I think I'm right in saying that IM UK is a new event and so there is no past experiecne on applications other than this year. I would guess they will run it again next year though, and surely IM must have a general rule about applications across all the events they put their name to.

Not quite true, although it did fill quickly. There was probably a window of a month or two, but it did fill many months before the event.

No - been going at least a few years now, although this year was the first at its new venue in the south. Rumour has it that it will be at the same venue next year.
I just got back from finishing the HIMUK and would reccomend it. I think that next year they are looking at going full Iron distance but it is a great venue and worth doing. Last year it was full within about a month tops. "eddwalker" <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...
