Hi all
I was planning to do the Bowness to Wallsend next month to
accompany and support a group of runners doing the footpath
in a relay (in one day ~14hours). Is there a decent guide or
route that can follow the route of the Wall (and footpath)
that doesn't deviate away too much like the proposed path
(NCN72)does in places.

I have in front of me the OS historical map and guide (1989)
which is a 50,000 map with the wall and Vallum marked on it.
the ref no is ISBN 0-319-29018-2
