    GDA
Guideline Daily Amount - the predicted daily consumption of an average
consumer eating a diet conforming to government healthy eating
    recommendations. No obligation to display.

    *******

This GDA was created to help "clarify" the quantities listed on food
    labels for the consumer.

If government eating recommendations are wrong, ie. the food pyramid,
then the GDA will be extremely misleading. Apparently in the UK, the
GDA for sugar is 25% of daily calories. Pretty scary.
