  1. so here is the deal...

A buddy of mine gave me a Guerciotti frame, Guerciotti fork, headset, stem and some other assorted parts. I ride urban mountain bikes and wanted a road bike to train with. I think my buddy gave me a sweet as bike, as i mildly researched Guerciotti. It is too big for me so i am considering selling or trading it for another bike. Here is the problem..i have no idea what it is worth. i can not figure out what model it is. I have been searching but cannnot find it anywhere. it has a carbon fiber front triangle with an aluminum rear triangle. The forks are aluminum also. i think it is from the late nineties but i am not sure. it has the Ten Speed Drive Imports sticker on it and it number 00595. I have heard that these bikes are pretty rare and want to figure out exactly what i have. Thanks for any info that can be sent my way.

Ten speed drive imported scads of Italian bikes in the 80's and they went out of business in the early 90s I think. Guerciotti is a nice brand but it is not rare. Likely doesn' have much value to someone looking for a really nice vintage bike, but more than the larger names of the time. Also, the foray into aluminum and carbon was seen as a desparate measure of a company loosing market share.

Put it on eBay and take what you get, but I'd say less than $200 for a bare frame.
