  1. hi

I am planning a trip to fort bill in july, amongst other outings i plan
to walk the grey corries. I am planning on starting at the car park
nearest steall falls then going up to sgurr choinnich beag over the
ridge of the grey corries and ending on stob ban then making a descent
south west and back to the head of glen nevis and the car park, all in
all around 17 miles. Usually when i have read about the grey corries
its not been by this route (ie spean bridge approach more the norm ) so
i'm wondering if there are any problems with my plan?

If any of you have any thoughts or advice please feel free to let me
    know ;-)

    thanks
    steve

  2. Steve I don't see any problem with your plans. I have camped in Glen
Nevis and done the Grey Corries and then some of the Mamores the next
    day.

There was no problem last year climbing the Grey Corries from Glen
Spean despite the on going forest work but I was told recently that it
was now very difficult to park near the start of the walk from Glen
Spean. This is probably due to the number of lorries going out and in
    to remove the timber.

I think you suggestion is spot on especially while these forest
    operations continue.

I think there are no problems with the ridge itselve. Just one thing : are
you planning on getting back to the carpark via Tom an Eite ? Walkers often
warn that it's the wettest place in Scotland.
