There are six Speed Merchants invited to Grenoble each year. The organizers try
to get the World's best. It isn't too difficult as Grenoble pays rather well -
30,000 euros for the Golden Sprint winner.

The Master's Sprint is the usual sprint competition that you will see at track
meets anywhere except that there are not the interminable qualifying rounds
with only six competitors althout there are the usual repechage run offs.

The Golden Sprint is a special series involving (1) Fastest Lap, (2) Keirin
and (3) 500 meters Flying Start and the competition is fierce because 30K
euros buys a lottsa Frites and Cokes....

Sorry I didn't reply earlier but fact is i have been unsubscribed from rbr for
the last few weeks as I'm quite busy elsewhere.....
