Here are two recipes. They are quite different as you can see.
    Terry S.

    Green Goddess Salad Dressing

    1 cup mayonnaise
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1/3 cup finely minced parsley
3 tablespoons finely minced chives or green onions
2 tablespoons anchovy paste or finely minced anchovies
    3 tablespoons tarragon wine vinegar
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 clove garlic, minced
Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate or store in a glass
jar if not using right away. It will mellow and thicken on standing.
    Yields: about 2 cups

    Green Goddess Dressing

    1 tin (2 ounces) anchovies
    3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
    3 tablespoons tarragon vinegar
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 cup sour cream
    1 cup mayonnaise
    1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    Black pepper to taste

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Cover
and refrigerate until needed. Refrigerate for up to 1 week.
Note: It is also great as a dip with carrot and celery
    sticks.
