I had a super time last night, I needed to go to Tatem Park in North London
from my place, which is equally far south of the river. One way was about
29km across most of London, so a nice warmup for the (non-cycling) training
we were going to be doing. Beautiful weather, and not one cager misbehaved
themselves. That was probably due to them all being locked together on the
A10, enough to slow me down a fair bit.
The second best bit was getting there, and finding a teammate had driven
nearly the same route and distance, only it took her 2 hours 30 mins. Me,
on the recumbent, 1 hour 30 minutes. Big and slighty guilty/smug grin. The
best bit was seeing how much better I've become at controlling the traffic
for my own safety, ala Cyclecraft.
Only bad bit was when I got home I found out that my rear light had been
disconnected from the connections on my front Oval Plus. Either I must have
bumped it, or miniMike has been playing. Oops!
